Hi friends today I going to write ‘Consumer know your rights’ in a free and competitive economy the consumer is the king. Consumers have all the rights to choose any product at any time to satisfy his needs and requirements. But unfortunately, most of the consumers are exploited because of unawareness of their rights. In order to protect the interests of the consumer rights, consumerism gained momentum all over the world. Consumerism is the social force protecting and aiding the consumer. Consumerism is the society attempt to bring back the balance in the exchange between the buyers and the sellers as the strength of power is normally in favor of sellers rather than the buyers. Consumers have certain rights on commodity which they buy. Many products cause danger to consumer health, lives, and property. Hence it is the duty of the seller to educate the consumer about the hazardous involved in the product. The consumers have the right in knowing all the information regarding the product. The information should be adequate, accurate, reliable, up-to-date, verifiable and legal. Consumer has right to choose the product from the wide choice of product. It is the duty of the marketer to give the quality product. Consumer has right to be heard. The consumer has the right to focus and register his dissatisfaction and get his feelings and complained heard and valued. Consumer has rights to claim back the damages instead of getting his money back; he can claim some compensation as per the terms and conditions of sales. So it is always advisable to know their rights.
