Once upon a time, I had no idea how to build a website. The year was 1998, and my mom had just purchase a Gateway 2000 computer for about $2300. It was a sweet set-up — 21″ monitor (CRT, of course), a generous 4GB hard drive, 64MB of blazing-fast RAM, and a just-released 266mHz processor. We had dial-up thanks to EarthLink, and I decided I wanted to make a webpage for myself. I had no idea how to, so I queried a few search engines (Lycos and AltaVista, IIRC), and then found a bulky, clunky template builder that helped me get up and running.
Twelve years later and not much has changed, well, besides just about everything I described in the first paragraph. But people still want to build websites, and many people don’t know how. You don’t just discover and become madly skilled with WordPress and the hard coding of HTML and CSS overnight. Enter sites like hPage.com. hPage.com allows you to quickly create your own space on the web. With 300MB of space and 300+ templates to play around with, there’s something for everyone. Getting started with hPage.com is as easy as picking a username, a password, entering and verifying your email address (FYI, hPage.com is one of those websites that doesn’t believe .nu is a valid extension, so you’ll need a .com/.net/.org email address), answering the CAPTCHA, then logging in and getting started.

Consumers have all the rights to choose any product at any time to satisfy his needs and requirements. But unfortunately, most of the consumers are exploited because of unawareness of their rights. In order to protect the interests of the consumer rights, consumerism gained momentum all over the world. Consumerism is the social force protecting and aiding the consumer. Consumerism is the society attempt to bring back the balance in the exchange between the buyers and the sellers as the strength of power is normally in favor of sellers rather than the buyers. Consumers have certain rights on commodity which they buy. Many products cause danger to consumer health, lives, and property. Hence it is the duty of the seller to educate the consumer about the hazardous involved in the product. The consumers have the right in knowing all the information regarding the product. The information should be adequate, accurate, reliable, up-to-date, verifiable and legal. Consumer has right to choose the product from the wide choice of product. It is the duty of the marketer to give the quality product. Consumer has right to be heard. The consumer has the right to focus and register his dissatisfaction and get his feelings and complained heard and valued. Consumer has rights to claim back the damages instead of getting his money back; he can claim some compensation as per the terms and conditions of sales. Sports and games play an important role in the physical and mental development of any person. Sports and games give physical and mental development of any person. Games and sports symbolize the youth of the nation. The intellectual growth of a nation too depends upon its physical health. Sports and games help in building up not only a healthy body but also a healthy mind. Games and sports symbolize the youth of a nation. They teach young people discipline and obedience.

By observing the rules of a game, a person learns to respect the rights of his opponent. These rules teach us to honor a good foe, to praise him when he does well and keep our temper when we are beaten. Team spirit and fellow feeling are acquired while participating in a team event. These encourage a spirit of healthy competition. The competition is perpetual. Games and sports inculcate in us a sense of sportsmanship. It is on the games that the young learn to take victory in a sportsman spirit. Thus, it is clear that sports and games have many physical, mental and moral uses.

Americans With Foreclosure

Recently, several state attorneys general have begun indicting Foreclosure Defense firms for fraudulent or unfair business practices. Having now worked in a variety of foreclosure cases that had previously involved so-called “foreclosure defense” companies, I can say that at best, these companies provide almost no value whatsoever. Foreclosure is just a lawsuit brought by the bank to take back your home. You have the right to fight that lawsuit. Banks must take specific steps, in the correct order and with the correct timing, in order to have the right to foreclose. Banks are legally obligated to provide you with certain disclosures prior to the closing. They are limited in the kind and amount of fees they can charge you in certain instances and must have you execute certain federally mandated mortgage documents at closing. The only way to find out if these steps were properly taken is a legal analysis of all closing documents, including the note and mortgage, of subsequent correspondence between the lender and/or mortgage servicer and borrower and of the actual steps taken to begin the litigation. Mortgage banks do their best to hide things from you, so without an experienced foreclosure attorney, you’re probably not going to be able to fight back. Generally speaking, the firms charge around $3,000 for what amounts to processing a few documents and asking nicely for a modification at the same phone numbers that homeowners themselves can call. The basic procedure is this: the FD firm asks the homeowner for their mortgage documents plus a “hardship letter”. Next, the FD firm uses this information provided by the homeowner to send letters and make phone calls to the lender or service trying to get approval for a gratuitous modification. The FD firm has no legal power to stop foreclosure or do anything beyond asking nicely for a modification. This is an offensive strategy, and because of the way that servicers work, gets the fastest attention from an intelligent human being than any other strategy.
